BC's new Bullying and Harassment legislation became effective on November 1, 2013. See WorkSafeBC's newly created Bullying and Harassment website for tools, policies and guidelines as to how to comply with this new legislation.
According to Payscale's Canadian Compensation Trends and Pay Practices survey, 65% of Canadian companies expected their financial performance to improve in 2013. The use of variable pay increases (a pay for performance method), increased by a whopping 300%, as companies come up with creative ways of keeping their wage growth in line while at the same time retaining and incenting their top performers.
From the same Payscale survey, the following jobs had the largest year over year increases in Canada over the past 2 years:
